Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. She has released more than 20 studio albums. The music of DiFranco is classified as folk, alternative and rock but she also draws influences of jazz and hip-hop. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as an icon of women's rights and Grammy-winning performer, is regarded as the creator in DIY music. It was one of the first musicians to start her own label in the year 1990. DiFranco was born on 23rd September 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Both her parents were both of Montreal descent. Ani diFranco was the composer and singer of the song 32 Flavors. The song can be found on the sixth album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani diFranco. It was which was released in the year 1996. The song was featured in the soundtrack for the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999.
